In 2018 Kc Coleman started experimenting with different kinds of photo-editing software. As Coleman gained more skill, he started developing his own style of digital collage. The artist combines self-portraits with his other photography work to create a new reality. The resulting images are characterized by surrealism, narrative and sometimes recognizable references to pop culture.

In his work, Coleman displays himself in a multitude of ways and styles. Identity and self image play a big role in Coleman's art. Coleman places himself as the main character, breaking through (self)impost notions of what he/we 'should' be. Challenging the viewer to think about the limitation they may put upon themselves.
